An 8-unit apartment building in Boston's North End will be sold to the highest bidder next week.
The five-story brick property at 9 Charter St., near the intersection of Charter and Hanover streets, is owned by the St. Joseph Society and assessed at $831,000.
Justin Manning, president of JJ Manning Auctioneers, said he expects bids to competitive.
"This is an accelerated sale at auction, not a distressed sale in any way, shape, or form," he said. "There's been lots of interest based on the number of people who came to the open house."
Last year, the company auctioned 12 Parmenter Street in the North End for $4.4 million. The property had an assessed value of $1.4 million.
